Broader Insurer Remarketing
CHALLENGE
The client’s broker limited the marketing of the fund’s D&O policy to its preferred panel of insurers, which offered the broker the opportunity to earn enhanced commissions with steady YoY premium increases in a softening market.
SOLUTION
Working with the client, ER requested the broker to undertake a broader remarketing exercise with the inclusion of some ER partner insurers.
RESULT
ER delivered premium savings of 20% whilst maintaining the level of coverage offered under the previous program. The client also gained better visibility on overall commissions paid to its broker and requested a switch to fee based renumeration, reducing its overall Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) exposure.
